February LODGE NEWS

THE NEW BOAT IS HERE!! Holding 16 divers and two crew with two high speed engines it will whisk you to the dive sites.

 Greetings!

January saw some wide fluctuations in water temperature and visibility. We had warm, clear water for much of the time, but the occasional few days of reduced visibility associated with cooler water. One thing has been fairly consistent (and is expected at this time of year) the strong sea breezes that pick up as the day gets warmer. So remember, plan your dives for early in the day if you can. You can see the conditions at Merimbula Wharf  by using the web-cam.

This season has been very busy. Some people are finding that if they do not book ahead they are missing out on boat and dive spaces. Although School Holidays have finished, we are still heavily booked - so book early to avoid disappointment.

We have a full schedule of courses over the next few months. If you are interested in doing one of these course, please contact me.

The trip to Vanuatu to dive the President Coolidge is in the last week of July. That sounds like a fair amount of lead time, however interest is strong and places are going fast. See you there or in Merimbula!

  Regards,

       Mike Standen
